RSVPing

First of all, I don't think anybody ever owes the host of a party a reason WHY they won't be at a party, it's none of their business! So don't feel like you have to/ ✨

Some common RSVPs and how I typically respond:

Guest: That sounds great, thanks for the invite! Is there anything I can bring?
Randy: Woohoo! If you have something easy you typically make, bring it, if not, we usually have plenty of food. I'd rather you be there without anything than not at all.

G: Hey, I won't be able to make it, sorry.
R: No worries! (then quietly take the off the list the second or third time)

G: Sorry dude, I'm leaving town for work Sunday night, next time?
R: Of course! It's usually the second Sunday of the month.

G: It's really hard to do Sundays because I have my kid every weekend, but I'd love to come sometime if I can.
R: No worries! Totally get it. I'll keep you on the perma-invite list and maybe the 15th time you'll be able to come. Maybe I should have a kids night 🤔

G: Hey, thanks for the invite, but these aren't my type of thing.
R: No problem! I'll take you off the list, but if you ever change your mind, you're always welcome!

G: WTF? I think you're ugly and your breath smells, I'd never go to a party at your place!
R: Fair enough, I'll take you off the list.

G: 🦗🦗🦗🦗
R: 🦗🦗🦗🦗 (then take them off the list the second time)

G, two hours before: Hey! Looking forward to hanging out and doing some dancing!
R: Great!
G: Never shows, never texts, doesn't follow up a day after
R: 🤔 (then take them off the list)

At no point will I be offended or angry at any response you give. 😊
